We all know that YouTube is probably the biggest video sharing service on the web.

It is also growing at a staggering pace.

Google has some interesting pieces of information regarding the YouTube service.

The company said in a blog post that 20 hours of video are being uploaded to YouTube every minute at any given time.

This is pretty impressive considering just around six hours of video were being uploaded to the site every minute in 2007. It had touched around 15 hours of video per minute at the starting of the current year.

Google said that they are now hoping to touch 24 hours of video per minute to reach an interesting milestone.

Google had acquired YouTube in 2006. The deal was worth an impressive USD 1.65 billion. The company has however failed to generate profits from it. But they are working towards that goal.
