Xerox Canada was declared one of the thirteen winners of the Xerox Earth Awards, earning an award for the only customer-focused, revenue generating program, which substantially boosted ColorQube sales.

The Ontario team used environmental sustainability content to educate employees and drive revenue and sales. They collaborated with the sales staff in a Sustainability Customer Presentation Certification program. The training reached 92 percent of the direct sales force and 70 percent of the agent representatives. The project now is being rolled out in Xerox North America.

“Xerox Canada is clearly hitting the mark when it comes to converting our sustainability record of achievement into high impact message platforms,” says Emechete Onuoha, Xerox Canada vice president, Sustainability and External Affairs.

This year more than 30 nominations came from Xerox facilities around the world – including Ireland, Canada, France, the United Kingdom and the United States. Judges considered innovation, direct benefits to Xerox, duration of the project and the documented, measurable results of each entry. Thirteen winners were chosen.

The Earth Awards program began 17 years ago as a way to showcase how Xerox employees can improve the business and benefit the world by eliminating waste.
