Ian Moyse, Workbooks sales director, has been recognised by SMB Nation on the Worldwide SMB 150 Channel Influencers List for 2012. Ian was nominated in the ‘Experts’ category for his relentless work promoting and educating channels on the benefits of cloud computing to both themselves and their clients. In the ‘Community’ voting section Ian was voted 3rd Worldwide out of over 400 nominees.
On 17th April the final list was announced including a wide range of channel leaders from around the globe. A three-part process determined this year's list of SMB 150 influencers. The competition began with an open nominating process, followed by the SMB IT community voting on the 400+ nominees shortlisted at www.smb150.com. In addition to the community vote, a panel of industry experts also judged each nominee based on a variety of areas. Ian Moyse commented, “It is pleasing to be recognised in these prestigious global awards and to represent my on-going efforts to highlight the needs of the smaller business.
Cloud solutions increasingly level the playing field for smaller companies, enabling them to get greater power and function at affordable pricing. It is great to be recognised for my efforts in promoting cloud adoption to the SMB space and to the channel. I look forward to making a difference to both channels and end clients during the rest of 2012 by delivering our innovative and intuitive approach to cloud CRM.” Workbooks employed Moyse in early 2012 to boost sales of its successful cloud CRM solution and a number of channel announcements are expected in the coming months including a revised channel program, new partnering announcements and expansion into new countries utilising regional partners.
Harry Brelsford, founder and chairman of SMB Nation commented "This year's SMB 150 has been an energising experience, so it's exciting to finally share the results. What struck me most about this year's list is its inclusion of channel members from all over the world; it's a real reflection of the diversity and strength of our worldwide community. I encourage everyone in the SMB channel community to join me in celebrating the accomplishments of the men and women who made the SMB 150 list. Each and every one of them has spent countless hours growing our community and deserves every accolade we can give them. I can't wait to toast them in Los Angeles." In addition to his role as sales director at Workbooks, Moyse also sits on the board of Eurocloud UK and the Governance Board of the Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) and in early 2012 was appointed to the advisory board of SaaSMax. He has in the past year won a range of accolades including the ‘European Channel Personality of the Year Award for 2011’ , TalkinCloud named him as one of the global top 200 cloud channel experts in 2011 and was named Channelnomics 2011 Influencer of the year for Europe. In early 2012 Ian was also the first in the UK to pass the CompTIA Cloud Essentials specialty certification exam.
