Alex Tatham, Managing Director of Westcoast, one of UK’s largest distributor, believes the tech channel has performed extremely well, despite all the talks about Brexit, except perhaps for the consumer PC market which has not performed that well. Lots of businesses have been preparing for a no-deal Brexit and more businesses will go through the channel as opposed to direct. There will be no decrease in spend with the end-users as they are digitally transforming their business. The most important factor on pricing moving forward will be the pound versus the euro and the dollar. We are already seeing some basic price ruses from vendors in the UK at the moment. Interestingly, Microsoft license business is growing alongside all the cloud business.
