Walmart Canada announced the launch of its new convenient and easy Online Grocery Pickup service. It allows consumers to shop for their groceries online on Walmart.ca, and have it ready to pick up at one of the seven locations to begin offering this service this month in the metropolitan area.

From the comfort of their living room or between two trips, customers simply choose a location and a time slot and trained grocery associates will prepare their grocery order, carefully selecting each product. They then pull into a designated online grocery pickup parking spot, call the assigned phone line and their order will be brought out to them and loaded into their vehicle.

”We know our customers want to save money and time, without compromising on the quality of their food products. For us, it is essential that our customers have a convenient and easy shopping experience that meets their expectations and fits their lifestyle”, said Cyrille Ballereau, vice president of Operations for Eastern Canada at Walmart Canada.

The new Online Grocery Pickup service allows consumers to choose from a wide selection of top-quality grocery items at Walmart, including fresh meat and produce. Dedicated associates have been trained in the participating stores to rigorously choose the freshest items and carefully pack them. Grocery pickup is a free service and consumers will be able to order up to 21 days in advance.

Over the last few years, Walmart Canada has expanded its product offering to include a wider assortment of fresh groceries. Walmart Supercenters have a wide selection of imported top grade fruits and vegetables as well as domestic Canada No. 1 and Canada Fancy grade fruits and vegetables in addition to an expanded selection of organic produce and Canadian-certified organic products. Among our fresh meat products, we offer 100 % Canadian Angus beef, Maple Leaf Chicken, Pork and Sausages, and Canadian salmon. These products and all the other grocery products, including dairy and bakery, will also be available online to customers using the Online Grocery Pickup service.
