TripIt Brings Hands-free Travel Itineraries to the Samsung GALAXY Gear

TripIt, the leading mobile travel organizer from Concur (Nasdaq: CNQR), made its debut on the Samsung GALAXY Gea in conjunction with IFA, the world's leading trade show for consumer electronics.

TripIt is the first travel app developer selected by Samsung to integrate with the GALAXY Gear, making it easier for travelers to access flight, hotel, and other trip plans, while leaving their hands free to carry luggage or belongings. While wearing the GALAXY Gear, travelers can quickly view departure times or confirmation numbers, call the airline or hotel, get maps or directions, and share trip plans with a colleague or loved one.

"Wearable computing is perfectly suited for travelers, so we're very excited to debut TripIt for Samsung GALAXY Gear," says Rich Adams, head of mobile for TripIt. "Imagine walking through the airport as you normally do, but now your flight information is strapped to your wrist, so your hands are free to grab a cup of coffee or a magazine. This is an important milestone in our mission to make life easier for travelers."

Between Sept. 6-11, IFA attendees can visit the Samsung booth in Hall 20 to see TripIt in action on the GALAXY Gear.

TripIt for Samsung GALAXY Gear is scheduled to be available in fall 2013. In the meantime, travelers can instantly create a free mobile itinerary, by simply forwarding any flight, hotel, car rental or travel confirmation email to plans@tripit.com.
