The Google G1 cellphone with its Android operating system is causing quite a stir on the market. Manufacturers are being inspired by the super-smart phone, and a new generation of cell technology is being showcased at CeBIT 2009.The Open Handset Alliance initiated by Google now has more than 40 members, including cellphone suppliers such as T-Mobile and equipment manufacturers such as HTC.
The Android operating system developed by the search engine giant is the focus of development activities, and Google is looking to become the market leader in mobile Internet applications.
