IT professionals can now protect their virtual environments with ease with the new, simple socket-based pricing for StorageCraft ShadowProtect SPX, the award-winning backup and disaster recovery solution.
The new licensing model allows IT administrators to purchase licenses based on the number of CPU sockets on the host, both VMware and Microsoft, and protect an unlimited number of virtual machines per licensed socket.
“With the new price-friendly licensing model, IT administrators can now grow their virtual environments with one of the world’s most trusted and reliable business continuity solutions without having to go through the purchase process each time new virtual machines are added to the host,” said Marvin Blough, StorageCraft’s vice president of worldwide sales. “This addition to the pricing structure allows StorageCraft partners to devote less time with administrative and set-up duties and more time for mission critical activities.”
These simple new pricing options are:
· Essentials Socket Edition (2-socket bundle) – Affordably priced and packaged in a 2-socket bundle for businesses with virtual environments of 6 sockets or fewer. Users get reliable features and easy-to-use functionality at a price that’s right-sized for the smaller business getting started with virtualization.
· Standard Socket Edition (1 socket) – Designed for businesses with virtual environments of greater than 6 sockets, and provides best-in-class protection, greater flexibility, and a lower overall total cost of ownership with per-socket licensing. There’s no limit on the number of 1 socket licenses purchased and no limit to the number of virtual machines that can be protected with each socket license.
Users still have the flexibility to purchase the popular Virtual Guest Packs for ShadowProtect SPX. The Guest Packs allow users to choose per-virtual machine licenses in a 1-pack, 3-pack, or a new 10-pack.
