Engadget has reported that they have received some screenshots of early edition of Steam running on Linux.
Valve has of course not announced anything related to possible plans to launch Steam on Linux.
Steam is already hugely popular on Windows platform. The company is set to launch it for Mac OS X.
If Steam is indeed coming to Linux, it would bring joy to thousands of gamers around the world who prefer to use Linux for their primary OS but have to switch to Windows to play games.
Though, it remains to be seen how they would deliver games on Linux. There are few top quality new generation games that work on Linux.
