Gartner, the world's leading information technology research and advisory company, has named Xait one of its Cool Vendors for 2013. This is a recognition of Xait's continuous emphasis on product improvement and focus on leading trends and technology.

"We feel both proud and humble. This is a recognition of the hard work we have done since Xait's beginning. Being a Gartner Cool Vendor will make us even more known in the market, and will strengthen our market position. That being said, our most important focus is still to develop and continuously improve our products," says Arnt Jørund Andreassen, Xait's CEO.

Every year, Gartner names IT companies in various categories Cool Vendors. Xait is in the category Content Management. Xait now joins a long list of innovative companies that have been recognised by this world leading research company. In 2005, the then less famous Skype was in fact also on Gartner's list of the up and coming companies in the industry.

XaitPorter is used worldwide by organizations that require several people to work on large and complex documents, such as proposals, license round applications, and reports. Unlike Microsoft Word, a giant compared to this Norwegian company, XaitPorter has functionality that enables efficient collaboration and process optimization.

Xait was established in 2000, and today has 30 employees and offices in both Stavanger, Norway, and Austin, Texas. Their most important product is XaitPorter, software that allows several people to work on the same document, simultaneously. Among Xait's most important clients are oil and gas companies, and oil service companies. Xait also has clients in other verticals across the world, such as technology, facilities management, health, and pharmacy.

Gartner is the world's leading information technology research and advisory company. They have over 5,000 employees, with over 1,200 analysts and advisors. Follow Xait on Twitter for news and real-time updates at @XaitPorter
