Sirius XM Canada, the country's leading audio entertainment company, today announced it will broadcast the 102nd Grey Cup live from Vancouver on November 30th, 2014 on Canada Talks channel 167. SiriusXM will also provide title sponsorship to the SiriusXM Grey Cup Kickoff Show™, which will set the stage for all the action of the game.
The 102nd Grey Cup will see the Calgary Stampeders go head-to-head with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at BC Place Stadium. But before the game gets started, and for the first time, fans will be able to enjoy the SiriusXM Grey Cup Kickoff Show™. The inaugural year of the show will feature platinum-selling Canadian artist and Vancouver native Dallas Smith, whose new album "Lifted" was released on November 24th. Canadian jazz-pop singer-songwriter Nikki Yanofsky will join Smith, performing a bilingual rendition of the Canadian national anthem.
"The Grey Cup is a Canadian institution and we are always proud to be a part of it," said John Lewis, SVP, Programming, SiriusXM Canada. "It's an exciting culmination to a thrilling year and our listeners will get all the action no matter where they are."
Adding to the excitement of Grey Cup weekend, country star Dallas Smith will play an exclusive show before an intimate audience of SiriusXM subscribers in Vancouver on Saturday, November 29th. Hosted by SiriusXM's Jeff Leake, SiriusXM's Artist Confidential with Dallas Smith will feature some of Smith's hits, songs from his new album, a personal Q&A and more.
The big game can be heard on Canada Talks channel 167 starting with a pre-show at 4 pm leading into the action at 6 pm ET. Canada Talks broadcasts CFL play-by-play throughout the regular season and playoffs, giving subscribers English and French broadcasts of every game from their favourite teams around the league.
