Network Security Corporation has been named a finalist in the 2009 Hot Companies awards competition sponsored by Network Products Guide, a publication of Silicon Valley Communications. Winners of the 2009 Hot Companies awards will be announced during the World Executive Alliance Summit in San Francisco March 26-27, 2009.

A leading network and email security solutions provider, SECNAP is one of more than 80 finalists in the competition, along with leading technology firms such as Entrust, Sourcefire and VeriSign.

The 2009 Hot Companies analysis encompassed companies in all areas of Information Technology including security, wireless, storage, networking, software and communications. The evaluation process assessed candidates for entrepreneurial spirit, seasoned executives with relevant experience, and clear understanding of their Information Technology market segment, among other factors.

“There’s no doubt that our ongoing development of next generation security technology was instrumental in our being named to this list,” said Michael Scheidell, chief technology officer for SECNAP. “Our flagship product line, the SpammerTrap(R) email security gateway, ensures that our channel partners go to market with the most advanced spam solution available today. It’s gratifying to know organizations like the Silicon Valley Communications group recognize that SECNAP is a hot player in the information technology space.”
