SAND Technology Inc., the provider of the world’s most advanced columnar database, today announced the resignation of Arthur G. Ritchie from his position as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company.
“Arthur G. Ritchie was a founder of SAND Technology and was instrumental in establishing the initial vision and the products to support this vision; he’s a visionary in the big data and advanced analytics space and his contributions will be long remembered,” said Tom O’Donnell, SAND’s Chief Executive Officer. “It took a long time for the market to need what SAND delivers; we are ready to take full advantage of the dramatic changes Big Data is making to the enterprise.”
A new Chairman of the Board of the Company has not been appointed at this time; a subsequent announcement will be made.
