Samsung surprised the industry experts when they announced their own mobile platform named Bada.

The company already manufacture devices based on popular smartphone platforms including Google Android which is pretty much an open source offering.

Samsung continues to pursue their own Bada platform and they are now looking for developers to code apps for it.

Samsung has released a beta edition of their SDK for Bada.

Samsung Bada SDK Beta comes with several applications:

integrated development environment,

simulator,

user interface builder,

sample applications,

documentation and

tutorials

Samsung is one of the largest mobile phone maker in the world. However, launching another app store with a totally different development platform is not going to amuse developers of popular mobile applications.

We already have a couple of established platforms:

Apple iPhone

Google Android

Blackberry OS

Symbian

Palm webOS
