Rogers Communications, Canada's leading diversified communications and media company, launched LTE wireless roaming today in the U.S. with AT&T. This agreement with AT&T makes Rogers the first Canadian carrier to offer LTE roaming for wireless customers travelling to the U.S.

"We are pleased to build on our long-standing relationship with AT&T and continue our history of industry firsts by offering customers access to LTE roaming when travelling in the U.S.," said John Boynton, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, Rogers Communications. "The demand for LTE speeds, the fastest wireless technology in the world, continues to explode. With this relationship, our customers can enjoy uninterrupted access to blazing fast wireless speeds whether they are at home on the Rogers LTE network or in the U.S."

Rogers customers are now the first to enjoy LTE speeds while data roaming in the U.S. for $7.99 per day. This worry-free rate offers 50 MB of data per day, providing nearly twice the data a Rogers wireless customer would typically use on their smartphone per day in Canada.

Rogers has launched LTE roaming in a number of global destinations this year to deliver premium network speeds to its customers both at home and when they travel abroad. In addition to the U.S. market, Rogers was also the first Canadian carrier to offer its customers access to LTE roaming in Switzerland, Hong Kong and South Korea.

Rogers LTE, Canada's fastest wireless internet, reaches approximately 68 per cent of Canadians from coast to coast and continues to expand. LTE enables consumers and businesses to seamlessly connect while on the go, allowing them to do more at faster speeds with their mobile devices. Today, Rogers has the largest selection of LTE devices of any Canadian carrier, including the blazing fast LG G2, Moto X and Samsung Galaxy S4.
