Digitech Systems announced certification of the PaperVision Capture and PaperFlowTM applications with the new Epson DS-970 and DS-870 color duplex workgroup document scanners. With these additions, more than a dozen Epson scanners, covering all four segments of its scanner lines (mobile, desktop, workgroup, and flatbed) are certified to work with Digitech Systems’ Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software and cloud services.

As documents are scanned with PaperVision Capture, the embedded artificial intelligence engine PaperVision Forms Magic can eliminate manual data entry by extracting important data automatically, and companies can easily upload scanned documents to PaperVision Enterprise for on-premise management, or to ImageSilo, the cloud ECM service. The combined solution dramatically reduces the cost and complexity of securely managing and accessing critical business data while enabling automation of core business processes.
The Epson DS-970 and DS-870 ultra fast, reliable, robust desktop scanners are designed for high-volume environments where speed and dependability are critical – including human resources, accounts payable, legal, healthcare, insurance, and more – and will work seamlessly with Digitech Systems’ PaperVision Capture and PaperFlow applications. Ideal for demanding office environments, the DS-970 offers fast speeds up to 85 ppm/170 ipm2 and a peak daily duty cycle of up to 9,000 sheets3, while the DS-870 boasts scans speeds up to 65 ppm/130 ipm2 with a peak daily duty cycle of up to 7,000 sheets3. Both scanners feature a 100-page Automatic Document Feeder for high-volume batch scanning and include a Three-Year Limited Warranty with an Advance Exchange program featuring Next-Business-Day Replacement4.
These Epson models will enable Digitech Systems resellers to pursue more complex customer workflow opportunities, particularly where speed, throughput and security are concerns.
