Linux company Red Hat has entered into the Virtualization market with the launch of a couple of products that take on offerings from companies like Vmware and Microsoft.

They are now offering their customers an open-source option for virtualizing their data centers.

This includes the built-in virtualization provided by their Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS.

In addition, the company is now offering two virtual-machine management products along with a stand-alone hypervisor called Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization.

Red Hat had acquired Israel-based virtualization company Qumranet last year and their expertise has been used in these new range of products.
