BlueStar, a leading global distributor of ADC, Mobility, Point-of-Sale, RFID, Digital Signage, and Security technology solutions, recently hosted its annual VARTECH Canada Educational and Trade Show event at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto. With more than 650 attendees from across every province, it was the most attended VARTECH Canada ever.
“Without a doubt, this was by far the largest attendance we have ever had, and it never looked like one hair was out of place,” said BlueStar Canada President Jacques Lapierre. More than 55 technology solutions vendors, independent software developers and media partners were represented at the show, which took place June 3-5, with more than 175 vendor representatives in attendance.
“VARTECH Canada once again presented a great opportunity for networking with the best Canadian VARs,” said Maureen Chomica of EPSON. “We are proud to be a top sponsor and look forward to future events with BlueStar.”
“This was my fourth VARTECH, and the third one I attended in Canada,” said Pascal Poulou of OCR Canada. “This year was by far the best one in my opinion. Everyone in the BlueStar family did a great job.”
The theme of VARTECH Canada 2012 was to help value-added resellers from across the channel take advantage of their “wingmen,” and utilize the power of team work to propel business growth-a goal introduced by keynote speaker Lt. Col. Rob “Waldo” Waldman, “The Wingman.” The event featured extensive workshops on a variety of vertical markets and technology solutions, as well as the CodeZone tradeshow floor and networking events at the Platinum Club at the Air Canada Centre and Maison Mercer.
“I am extremely proud to be part of this team, and our North American offices worked hard to make this event a success,” said Philip Asfour, BlueStar Canada’s Marketing Manager. “We have definitely come a long way in the six years since the first VARTECH Canada, and it shows.”
