PocketMail Group Limited today announced at CeBIT 2004 the release of a new version of its popular PocketMail Composer handheld mobile email device.
This version allows PocketMail customers to send and receive e-mail in all of the following 26 languages: Albanian, Basque, Breton, Catalan, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Faroese, Finnish, French, Frisian, Galician, German, Greenlandic, Icelandic, Irish Gaelic (new orthography), Italian, Latin, Luxemburgish, Norwegian, Portuguese, Rhaeto-Romanic, Scottish Gaelic, Spanish, and Swedish.
E-Mail received by the PocketMail Composer in any of these languages is automatically displayed with accents and other characters. There is no need “to localize” or “load languages” onto the device like other handheld alternatives.
PocketMail CEO, David Marchant, commented, “We are experiencing a growing interest in PocketMail from non-English speaking markets. PocketMail can now support the local language in many of those markets, plus we have the core e-mail infrastructure in place to expand our language options further as required.”
PocketMail is a low-cost, easy-to-use, mobile e-mail service that enables users to send and receive e-mails, fast and reliably, anywhere in the world, using the handheld PocketMail Composer and virtually any telephone, including cell-phones and payphones.
PocketMail mobile e-mail is also available via the Web and on WAP enabled cellular phones.
