212Db, the digital music company behind PLAY GIG-IT is proud to announce the launch of ROCK THIS.  ROCK THIS brings a whole new look and feel to the existing PLAY GIG-IT platform while further flattening the relationship between artists and their fans.  These artists include Lil' Wayne, Flo Rida, 2 Chainz, Nas, and more.  ROCK THIS brings new music, new genres and new games to a platform that has already differentiated itself from everyone else on Facebook.

"Today, a large chunk of the music business is about social interaction and connecting with our fan base in an unique way," 2 Chainz told Mashable. "PLAY GIG-IT's launch onto Facebook is the perfect blend of just that and gives our fans a new way of connecting beyond just listening to our music."

With the Integration of ROCK THIS, PLAY GIG-IT's users will find new games and music related content to interact with.  Players can customize their experience across a wide spectrum of compelling musical interactions and eventually start a band on Facebook with their friends.  But it's the connection with featured artists and exclusive artist give-aways that will keep millions of players coming back for more; back stage passes, meet and greets, new music and more priceless music experiences that only ROCK THIS can bring to fans.

"I'm excited to evolve our social music platform with ROCK THIS.  We've been adding extremely talented artists and engineers to our production team since our live BETA launch last year and it shows in the product," says PLAY GIG-IT's President John Romero (Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, and Quake).

Some of music's top talents, including Rick Ross, Miguel, Kendrick Lamar, Ray J, Brandy, and Soulja Boy are among the starting lineup of music icons that have lent their likeness and music to participate in PLAY GIG-IT's ROCK THIS. To create the most realistic scenario, each artist was heavily involved in the production of the game and their respective avatar, spending time with the team to perfect every detail. "I'm excited to see how my fans customize their concert experience with me," adds Miguel.

"The ROCK THIS brand extension is part of our 2014 growth strategy to build the world's largest and most engaging social music platform.  This includes an entirely new architecture with an eye towards mobile and international markets as evidenced through our recent partnership with Artivision," said John Acunto, CEO of 212Db.

The partnership between 212Db and Artivision (SGX:5NK), is an expansion of two forward thinking technologies into new markets. Artivision's license will allow it to promote and expand the ROCK THIS platform into all of Asia, assisting 212Db in seeking artists to add to the platform and in seeking additional platforms in Asia that will offer 212Db's games and technologies to the user base of such platforms. In return Artivision has licensed to 212Db their companies' video advertising and facial recognition technology allowing Artivision a new platform for cross promotion and the acquisition of new users. The transaction between the two companies values both Artivision and 212Db at a 100 million dollar valuation.

"Artivision is finalizing the integration of its video monetization platform to allow advertisers to place advertisements within the many music video clips from the members of playgigit.  The unique display formats of target overalls and smart overlays will not reduce viewers experience when the advertisements are inserted. Artivision has deployed the same platform in various content owners in Israel and China. Upon the successful integration into the ROCK THIS platform, Artivision will be providing this service to the other content owners in the United States." – Mr. Soh Sai Kiang Philip, Chairman of Artivision Technologies Ltd.
