Offshore Systems International Ltd. said Thursday an announcement the company had won a $1.2-million contract with the Royal Australian Navy was premature.

“While we are confident that the contract will come to closure, negotiations are ongoing,” Ken Kirkpatrick, OSI’s president and CEO, said in a statement. The company said due to a clerical error a draft of the announcement was prematurely released Tuesday.

OSI makes mapping software and data products for government and civilian clients.
