Industry Group Honors Oracle with Lifetime Achievement Award and Induction
Into SSPA STAR Award Hall of Fame

Oracle(R)
Support Services received three SSPA 2005 Software Technical Assistance
Recognition (STAR) Awards for superior customer support service from the
Service & Support Professionals Association (SSPA). The awards highlight
Oracle’s continued leadership and success in providing a superior ownership
experience for its customers.

A leading industry organization for information technology (IT) support
professionals, the SSPA recognized Oracle in the Innovative Support category
for the second year in a row. This recognition was based on Oracle’s
cutting-edge systems and processes for delivering exceptional technical
support to its customers. For the third consecutive year, the Association
honored Oracle with the WebStar Award for delivering sophisticated technical
support for complex applications in mixed or otherwise complex environments.
Oracle was also inducted into the SSPA STAR Awards Hall of Fame. This
prestigious Life Time Achievement Award has been presented to only nine
companies in the awards history and demonstrates Oracle’s long-standing
commitment to customer success and award winning support services.

“The SSPA STAR Award recognizes companies who are leading the industry in
the delivery of first-class customer support services,” said Bill Rose, SSPA
founder and executive director. “The quality of Oracle’s customer support was
measured by the success of its customers and evaluated by a panel of industry
experts. The selection of Oracle recognizes the company as the undisputed
leader in the Innovative Support and WebStar categories. Oracle’s induction to
the Hall of Fame puts them in a class that few others have obtained.”
Oracle’s Support Services have seen several significant successes in
recent months, including the introduction of Oracle Lifetime Support Policy
and the results of research from Satmetrix that showed that PeopleSoft and JD
Edwards customer satisfaction increased by 11% to more than 90 percent since
the merger of the companies. “We are honored to receive two STAR awards and to
be recognized by the SSPA with our induction into the Hall of Fame,” said
Juergen Rottler, executive vice president, Oracle On Demand and Oracle Support
Services. “These awards endorse our strategy and our ongoing push for
industry leadership in Customer Support through continued investments in
innovation, automation and a total dedication to the success of our
customers.”
