Open Text(TM) Corporation has announced that the company is the first to receive records management certification with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 under the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) 5015.2 certification program. With Open Text’s introduction of the new offering in early March, the company will again be first-to-market with a solution that integrates with the latest Microsoft applications.
The certification is unique because it was the combined offering of Open Text’s records management with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 that passed the rigorous certification process. Open Text had the solution tested with SharePoint Server 2007, showing that it could declare content stored in SharePoint Products and Technologies as a record, thereby applying records management policies and managing the entire lifecycle of the information.
Since announcing a strategic relationship with Microsoft in 2005, Open Text has continued to introduce a steady stream of products that build on and extend Microsoft applications. Recently, Open Text was named the 2006 Microsoft Global ISV Partner of the Year.
