According to business experts, digital color printing continues to grow as
a key driver of successful business communications. As a result, Oki Data has
found that customers demand solutions that can effectively balance
performance, quality and value. Oki Data’s new pricing strategy reflects
their commitment to provide products and services that can meet any printing
challenge, without the need for businesses to compromise one benefit for
another.
“Our price reduction on the C5000 Series digital color printers brings
professional color capabilities to a whole new level of accessibility,” said
Candice Dobra, Oki Data’s senior marketing manager, desktop and workgroup
products. “In today’s competitive business environment, small, medium, and
home-based business customers need printing solutions that are high-
performance and high-quality but still affordable. Oki Data is able to
address these needs with products and services that offer a superior mix of
speed, quality, service, and low total cost of ownership. With this new
pricing structure, we continue to bring superior value to our customers.”
The OKI C5000 Series printers are based on innovative printing
technologies pioneered by Oki Data, such as Digital LED technology and Single
Pass Color(TM) technology. Single Pass Color gives the printers faster
throughput on a wide variety of paper media.
The OKI C5150n offers high performance and quality, printing vibrant full-
color pages at up to 12 pages per minute (ppm), and crisp, clear monochrome(2)
pages at 20 ppm. The C5150n also offers sharp 1200 x 600 dots per inch (dpi)
resolution. As with all of the OKI digital color printers, the OKI C5150n
comes with two-piece consumables, which results in a low cost of operation.
This product is available through major retail stores including CompUSA,
Staples, Office Depot, and Microcenter, and direct marketers like CDW.
The C5200n offers speeds up to 16 ppm color and 24 ppm monochrome(2), and
has standard 400-sheet capacity that expands to 930 sheets, with memory
upgrades from 32 MB standard to 288 MB available. Other features on the
C5200n include standard Ethernet connectivity, optional two-sided printing
capability, a one-year limited warranty, as well as the ability to handle
banner printing.
The C5400 Series – which is comprised of the C5400n, C5400dn, C5400tn and
C5400dtn – offers exceptional expandability and affordability at 16 ppm color
and 24 ppm monochrome(2). Various optional configurations can enable a two-
sided printing function, optional PostScript(R) 3(TM) emulation, and 10 GB
hard disk drive which includes job accounting software. Standard features
include 400-sheet capacity that expands to 930 sheets, and a one-year limited
warranty. Also available is Ethernet connectivity via internal OkiLAN(R)
8100e+ print server card.
As with all OKI printers, the entire C5000 Series is offered with Oki
Data’s overnight exchange program and industry-leading live customer phone
support, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
“Oki Data has a strong history of responding to customers’ needs with
targeted, customized printing solutions,” said Dobra. “This new pricing
structure will enable us to increase our market share and strengthen our
relationships with both our channel partners and end users.”
