Epson Canada Ltd., today introduced a new multi-purpose projector designed for both business and entertainment. The EPSON PowerLite S1+ offers 1,400 ANSI-lumens of brightness, SVGA (800×600) native resolution and a contrast ratio of 500:1 for $1399. The new EPSON PowerLite S1+ delivers increased value and a high level of performance to the cost-conscious presenter.
The PowerLite S1+ uses three Epson LCD panels to project a wide variety of computer and video images with unmatched rich colour saturation and full-time colour. Its sleek exterior significantly reduces light leakage, which contributes to extremely quiet operation as low as 33db. The seven-pound projector also features an Epson two-year warranty and a lamp rated at 2,000 hours that is replaceable for only $279.
“The PowerLite S1+ is tailored specifically for customers who demand excellent quality and reliability for delivering key business presentations or watching movies at home,” said Don Cameron, Marketing and Communications Manager, Epson Canada Ltd. “The advancements we’ve made with the PowerLite S1+ provide an even greater value than its predecessor (the PowerLite S1), yet still incorporate all of the high-end video features and image quality for which Epson is known.”
Easy Setup and Operation
Presenters of all levels will find that setup of the PowerLite S1+ projector is intuitive and simple with its colour-coded connections and convenient control panel design. Additionally, when the power button is pressed, a verification tone lets the presenter know immediately that the power is on, and in about six seconds the projected image will begin to appear on screen allowing users to quickly begin their presentations.
The PowerLite S1+ is also equipped with a monitor-out feature, which is especially important for educators that allows presenters to simultaneously view the content on the projector from a separate display device, eliminating the need for presenters to keep looking away from the audience while speaking.
Multi-Purpose Projector
More than ever, presenters are bringing projectors home for movie viewing or playing video games or other types of entertainment on a wide screen. In response to this, Epson offers several video features including a high-end component video input and pre-programmed colour modes that improve images associated with different applications and video sources. These modes, as well as the aspect ratio (either standard 4:3 or wide-format 16:9 video), can be selected by simply pushing one button on the remote control.
Availability and Support
The EPSON PowerLite S1+ has a valuable two-year limited warranty that includes two elite technical support services: the two-year Epson Private Lineâ„¢ and two-year Road Service Program. The PowerLite S1+ will be available in April 2004 for $1399 through national retailers, pro audio/visual dealers, mail order, and PC resellers.
