nCircle, the leader in automated
security and compliance auditing solutions, today announced the latest version
of its Suite360 Intelligence Hub (SIH), the advanced reporting and analytics
solution for nCircle Suite360. SIH 2.1 is the world’s first and only solution
to incorporate automated asset value assignment, saving valuable time and
delivering an order of magnitude improvement in prioritizing security and
compliance remediation tasks. Suite360 Intelligence Hub 2.1 also adds features
that simplify audits and user management including role-based access control,
flexible asset grouping, and integration with Microsoft Active Directory.

Today’s economic challenges are increasing pressure on IT organizations
to improve security and compliance with fewer resources. “Senior executives
and other business managers are demanding more action-oriented reporting on
security organizations’ activities and progress, and this trend will continue.
IT and security budgets will become more constrained, and the demand that
security organizations do more with less will intensify,” noted Gartner
Analyst Jeffrey Wheatman, in The Do’s and Don’ts of Information Security
Metrics, October 2008. The latest release of nCircle Suite360 Intelligence Hub
is designed to ease the administrative burden of security and compliance
auditing through increased automation, centralized management, and robust
segregation of duties.

Suite360 Intelligence Hub is the self-service security and compliance
portal for the enterprise, providing configurable, audit-ready reporting and
analytics for all enterprise audiences. New features in SIH 2.1 include:

— Granular role-based access control, enabling segregation of duties as
required by auditors. Administrators can choose role capabilities
that
allow specific users to manage asset groups, configure reports, save
reports, manage other users, and more.

— Integration with Microsoft Active Directory, enabling administrators
to
manage accounts, roles, and system access in a single system, saving
time and resources.

— Flexible asset grouping, providing a manageable asset inventory that
maps to business objectives. Asset grouping enables administrators to
arbitrarily group assets by network, business unit, regulation, and
more.

— Automated asset value assignment, a rule-based asset value assignment
feature that enables a composite metric that ranks security and
compliance issues not only by severity, but also by the asset’s value
to the business. Customers can design custom automated asset value
calculations based on multiple criteria, such as IP range (e.g. the
DMZ), type of installed software (e.g. Oracle), and more.

The new features in SIH 2.1 help IT administrators save time and
resources; they can more easily delegate tasks with role-based access
controls, group networked assets in ways that make sense to their business,
and use the unique automated asset value assignment to better prioritize
remediation of security and configuration issues across the global IT network.
The latest version of SIH delivers highly flexible and customizable
governance, risk and compliance dashboards, with actionable reporting that
drives measurable, cost effective results that reduce security risk and
achieve compliance.

“nCircle continues to focus on building solutions that help customers
streamline and optimize their security and compliance auditing processes,”
said Mark Wood, Vice President of Product Management, nCircle. “Suite360
Intelligence Hub version 2.1 saves customers time and money through increased
automation and improved resource utilization.”
