Microsoft is focusing on the Indian market with their recently launched Internet Explorer 9 web browser.
Just like their global marketing campaign, they are also partnering with some of the most popular web services in India to promote IE9.
We believe all of the partner sites would start enticing their visitors to try out Internet Explorer 9. The sad thing remains that a lot of these users would still be on Windows XP and they are not even allowed to install this new edition of IE.
This strategy is similar to what Google has been using in India for their Chrome web browser. Economic Times for example has a dedicated ad for Chrome on almost all of their news story pages!
