Epson Canada's Hugh Nielsen, National Manager of Sales and Marketing, presented their new channel program called ImageWay (http://epson.com/imageway). Full of profit incentives backed by strong support vehicles, the program was well received and most VAR attendees expressed an immediate desire to sign up. The profit incentives are unique to ImageWay partners so not only do the VARs receive enhanced profit but also a competitive edge in their respective markets. Profit incentives include enhanced margin, spiffs and instant rebates. Additional rebates are available by selling into the Education, Government and House of Worship segments. In addition to the financial incentives, there is a demo discount program, an evaluation program, collateral fulfillment, financing options, pre and post-sales support and a technical resource center for drivers, manuals and set-up sheets. Basically the tools a VAR needs to represent Epson products and thrive.
Claudio Turchetti, Epson's Commercial Market Development Manager, and Mark Ebata, Distribution Account Manager, then overviewed Epson's ImageWay products included as part of the channel program; business printers, document scanners and projectors. Attendees were pleased to see how feature rich Epson's Workforce Pro Commercial printer line was with the added bonus of being available only through the Commercial channel. Attendees learned of Epson's #1 projector market share leadership position with over sixty models available. Lastly attendees learned of Epson's extensive document scanner line-up with models playing in four different segments; sheet fed workgroup, portable/personal desktop, workgroup/departmental and large format scanners.
