Media Advisory – Kids Help Phone to Release New Study Highlighting the Effects of Cyber Bullying on Canadian Youth

    On April 18, Bell Canada and Kids Help Phone
    will mark the launch of the sixth annual Bell Walk for Kids Help Phone
    campaign with the release of a Kids Help Phone research study documenting the
    effects of cyber bullying on Canadian children and adolescents.

    Representatives from Bell Canada and Kids Help Phone, and Canadian singers
    Aaron Lines and Rob James (Celebrity Ambassadors for the campaign), will be in
    attendance. Students from Queen Elizabeth Junior & Senior High will take part
    in an interactive cyber bullying session as part of the press conference.

    What: Release of “Cyber bullying: Our Kids’ New Reality”, based on
    almost 2,500 responses to an online survey conducted by Kids
    Help Phone between December 20, 2006 and January 20, 2007. The
    report also includes numerous recommendations on how kids,
    parents and schools can deal with this serious problem.
