McAfee, Inc. , the leader in Intrusion Prevention and Risk Management solutions, today announced that it has been named the Leader in the January report, “Forrester Wave: Enterprise Antispyware, Q1 2006,” for its strong management and reporting capabilities. According to the report, McAfee, Inc. leads in enterprise anti-spyware and scored well across all three of the Forrester categories for its current offering, company strategy and market presence. The report considers McAfee AntiSpyware Enterprise a good choice for any company looking to deploy client security, further validating McAfee’s unique position in the market to deliver an integrated, comprehensive solution for system security.
The report evaluated and positioned eight vendors that offer enterprise anti-spyware solutions that are stand alone or part of a client security suite. As part of the assessment, Forrester evaluated McAfee AntiSpyware Enterprise against approximately 105 criteria — using vendor surveys, product demonstrations and customer reference calls. The results revealed that McAfee’s distinguishable strength is its protection against unknown spyware.
