Security Software maker McAfee has launched their own link shortening service at McAf.ee.
McAf.ee is currently in beta testing. The basic idea is to enable users create safe short links.
Update: Apparently, the service uses the McAfee Global Threat Intelligence to protect web users!
The company has not really stated how they differ from other services offered by bit.ly and the rest.
Almost all of them have some security measure or the other. Twitter itself is running their own service at t.co with similar mechanism.
Sources say that the idea of this service by their PR company. We suppose, it is just cool to have a link shortening service in your own brand’s name.
