The MamaBear App is an all-in-one, worry-free parenting app on iphone and Android that monitors location, safe-speed driving and location. The app was launched in August 2012 on iOS, October 2012 on Android and is currently in beta making it free to users.
Within the first 4 months of it’s launch, CNBC named MamaBear one of the World’s Most Promising Companies.
Designed for simplicity, MamaBear works in three steps:
1. Mom and Dad download and set up an account with MamaBear on their smart phones and tablets for complete visibility and control.
2. Kids download and log in to MamaBear to display three buttons: Check In, Come Get Me and Emergency.
3. Parents customize their alert settings to get the precise information they want, including:
Where they are on a map and where they’ve been
If they aren’t in school or at a scheduled place during the designated time
If they go somewhere off-limits
If they go over a driving speed set by the parent
When they make a new friend on Facebook, are tagged in a photo, message or at a location
When they follow someone new on Instagram, upload a photo or are tagged in a photo
If a ‘restricted word’ is used on their Facebook or Instagram pages. Parents create the list to monitor inappropriate language, hate or indications of bullying.
MamaBear was developed by a group of parents, digital visionaries and experienced technology entrepreneurs with a passion for fostering family unity and safety. The vision is one of worry-free parenting with a mission to create tools that provide parents a peace of mind while giving children needed freedom.
