LSI Corporation announced the start of its annual Global Volunteer Week, which runs from June 11-15. LSI employees are joining together to help communities around the globe by volunteering their time at over 2,000 opportunities at 85 not-for-profit organizations worldwide.
Employees from LSI operations in North America, Asia and Europe will contribute their time helping with causes including food banks, environmental cleanup, homebuilding and mentoring students. Among other projects, LSI employees will be removing invasive species from city parks and helping protect native trees from beaver damage.
“At LSI we’ve found that the most valuable contribution we can make as a company is the time of our committed and passionate employees,” said Abhi Talwalkar, president and CEO, LSI. “We have a long history of giving back to our local communities, and our employees look forward to volunteer week every year and the chance to spend time helping with worthy causes.”
“LSI’s corporate culture is built around teamwork and collaboration, and Global Volunteer Week is just one example of how our employees build relationships with local communities,” said Gautam Srivastava, senior vice president, Human Resources, LSI. “Our annual Global Volunteer Week is a ‘win-win’ for local communities and our dedicated employees.”
LSI employees also participate in many other activities throughout the year, such as donating thousands of backpacks filled with school supplies to underserved children throughout the world.
