Lenovo Names Murray Wright, President and General Manager, Lenovo (Canada) Inc.

Murray reports directly Scott D. Smith, Executive VP and GM, Americas, and will be responsible for Lenovo Canada’s sales, marketing, brand and channel strategies for Lenovo products in the Canadian marketplace.

Wright has a wealth of experience in the Canadian high tech sector, most recently as General Manager of Ingram Micro Canada, where he led the business, managed operations, and developed strategies for growing revenue and marketshare. Prior to Ingram, Wright was General Manager of Sharp Electronics Canada where he led a management team responsible for all aspects of national sales, marketing, leasing and finance for the business products division. Mr. Wright has also held positions at Triathlon Leasing, Inc. and Xerox Canada, Inc.

“Lenovo Canada has done an exemplary job of managing the transition from IBM Canada’s Personal Computing Division to the new Lenovo, and we’ve seen Lenovo Canada’s share of the commercial PC space grow faster than the market,” said Scott D. Smith. “Murray has the experience we need to expand our customer base and enhance our customer service throughout Canada.
“It’s clear that Lenovo is a customer-focused operation with a strong commitment to innovation, quality, and operational efficiency. I am delighted to be a part of this team as we continue to bring best-of-class products and the highest levels of customer service to the Canadian PC market,” said Murray Wright.
