Kyocera Mita Canada Ltd., one of
Canada’s leading document solutions companies, revealed its plans for the
launch of 15 new product models, a new product brand mark, corporate branding
campaign, and its strategy to introduce a software development and integration
platform, all at the company’s recent National Dealer Meeting held in Niagara
Falls, Ontario.

Under the theme of “Winning Together”, Kyocera acknowledged the critical
role of the independent dealer channel, and how the company will help enable
success through new corporate and product initiatives. In particular, Kyocera
emphasized its new mid-range B2C colour MFP series, set to launch in December
2008 in conjunction with the company’s new MFP product brand mark called
TASKalfa.

Scalable from the small business to the enterprise, the first TASKalfa
models to be introduced will include four colour MFPs ranging from 25-to-40
colour pages per minute, all engineered with Kyocera’s new micro-particle
toner technology and delivered with the company’s signature reliability and
low total cost of service. New black and white MFP models will also carry the
TASKalfa brand when launched. Also announced were 10 new colour and
black-and-white printer models to be rolled out in the next 12 months under
the banner of Kyocera’s popular ECOSYS(R) brand.

Additionally, plans were unveiled for Kyocera’s unique, customized
application development platform called HyPAS (Hybrid Platform for Advanced
Solutions), designed to extend the value of Kyocera’s popular MFPs through
three delivery phases. The first phase enables Kyocera to seamlessly integrate
its select MFPs with popular, revenue-generating software such as Equitrac
through both Java and Web Services applications. The second phase utilizes
Kyocera’s professional services to provide dealers with customized
applications via Java and Web Services SDKs. The third phase of HyPAS, to be
launched within a year, will provide SDKs though a comprehensive third-party
developer program, including web-based partner support.

“Kyocera’s National Dealer Meeting affords us with a valuable opportunity
to collaborate with our dealer community, and launch our roadmap for future,
shared success,” said Raymond Baraya, President, Kyocera Mita Canada. “Our
theme, ‘Winning Together’ truly reflects the importance of working together to
win end-users and build market share as a result of industry-leading products
and strong relationships. We always look forward to the tremendous momentum
our National Dealer Meeting generates for our dealers and us.”
