Kids love watching videos on tablets, but parents have quickly learned those cutely titled YouTube videos are often intended for more mature audiences. To answer this dilemma, MeFeedia, the video discovery engine, today launched Kids Videos, a free, curated video application that brings a wide variety of safe, fun and educational videos into one easy-to-use application. The app, available for iPad and Kindle Fire tablets, is available for download today, for free.
Kids Videos leverages the reach of MeFeedia’s content offerings to pull together popular and family-friendly videos from around the web. The app enables browsing and watching videos with a touch or swipe. Users can like and dislike videos, and designate videos to “Watch Later” for those favorites that kids just can’t get enough of. The application allows for filtering by genre using an on or off switch, and based on view-through rates, automatically discovers and delivers what a viewer would likely be most interested in at that moment.
Most importantly, the newly unveiled app brings ease of mind to parents when leaving their kids alone with their iPad or Kindle Fire. “As a father of 3 children, I’ve seen how natural and easy tablets are for children to use, but I have never felt comfortable leaving them alone to watch videos on the tablet for fear of what they might find,” said MeFeedia CEO, Frank Sinton. “With the Kids Videos app, I finally have a video app where I know what they are watching is both safe and fun.”
