After Mark Zuckerberg appeared on 60 Minutes last week, Facebook began to roll out its new profile pages, which are expected to reach all users by the beginning of next year. The new pages allow for more personalization and a richer social experience; they highlight your favorite activities, latest updates, and integrate your basic information in an easy-to-find way. In the words of 60 Minutes’ Leslie Stahl, you “get to tell your friends who you really are.”

Basic but important profile information (your school, work, birthday, location, etc.) is at the top of your profile directly under your name.
A row of tagged photos displays on the top of your profile. These photos are only available to those people you allow to view your tagged photos. You can remove a single photo from this location by clicking on the X.
Profile navigation has changed, too. Instead of tabs across the top of your screen, use the links on the left side to move between your wall, info, and photos.
An expanded info section includes new categories for interests, like favorite sports and people who inspire you. And your top interests are displayed graphically; just drag the images to rearrange.
Upon visiting a friend’s page, the top right corner will display mutual friends and interests with a link to your Friendship Page. Plus, you have the ability to highlight a chosen group of friends, instead of a random selection.
