Making IT services easier and more
profitable to sell, the world’s largest technology distributor, the Canadian
division of Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), Ingram Micro Canada announced a new
Reseller Services Portal, powered by MaintenanceNet(TM). The new web portal
automates IT product service and software licensing renewal contracts, making
it easier for IT solution providers and manufacturers to drive incremental
revenue on product sales.

Easy to use, Ingram Micro’s Reseller Services Portal includes valuable
tools and resources such as automated e-mail notifications and online access
to contract renewal information, unattached/warranty products and online
product registration. In addition, solution providers can use the portal’s
simple interface to organize and list customers’ service contracts and
licensing agreements by expiration date, manufacturer or end user, and to
quickly search by client or serial number. Solution providers can also
generate inventory and customer reports based on selected criteria and gain
access to valuable training and resources.

providers can increase revenues and profits, yet managing and selling these

Ingram’s Reseller Services Portal has been up and running in the U.S.
successfully for the last two years. The Canadian portal went live in July
2008, with Microsoft Canada as the key vendor currently participating in the
RSP, with additional manufacturers scheduled to come on board in the next
several months.

WBM Office Systems, based in Saskatchewan and Alberta, will be leveraging
the RSP to uncover new maintenance renewal and technology refresh
opportunities. “The RSP will be an excellent value add to our business,” said

management as well as its other tools and resources, to help us drive new
