OKI Data Americas announced the promotion of Carl Taylor to Vice President of Marketing for North America. In this role, Taylor is responsible for all aspects of the company’s product and industry marketing initiatives, including: channel marketing, market research, product planning, consumables marketing and marketing communications. In addition, he is also responsible for the organization’s Managed Print Services operations and marketing.

Total Managed Print from OKI is a comprehensive Managed Print Services (MPS) offering that’s designed to significantly reduce the costs of annual document output as well as increase company’s workflow efficiencies. Most businesses do not know how to effectively track the cost of printing in the workplace environment. This solution will help companies to better understand hardcopy fleet expenses and show how to uncover areas of waste and inefficiencies.

Total Managed Print – which includes custom service delivery, remote printer monitoring, leasing/CPP options and consumables delivery options – will enable companies to:

•              Reduce your printing costs upfront and long term

•              Streamline your print operation

•              Realize a predictable monthly cost with access to print activity

•              Update an aging fleet without the capital expenditure associated with equipment purchases

•              Free up internal resources to focus on critical business needs

•              Improve printer service levels and minimize device downtime

•              Reduce energy consumption through device consolidation

Establishing a Total Managed Print business model is a smart print strategy for any company. It's more than outsourcing the management of your print fleet or the hardware you choose – it's a long-term business strategy to control your print environment. VARs and MSPs all need to consider managed print services as part of their portfolio as it is a growth market.

Since joining OKI Data in 1996, Taylor has held progressive positions in the organization’s marketing and sales group, including Director of Business Operations and Sales Process, Director of Product and Industry Marketing and, most recently, Director of Marketing for North America.

“Carl Taylor has been with OKI Data Americas for seventeen years, and we are pleased to see the continuation of his professional development within our organization,” said Mitsuaki Takahara, Executive Vice President of Oki Data Americas, Inc. “He will continue to drive the company’s overall marketing strategy in the delivery of innovative, reliable and award-winning printing solutions throughout North America.”
