HP today announced intuitive new software, developed by Consera, allowing users to customize and create workflows automating IT management tasks. HP OpenView Service Delivery Designer enables companies to build graphical models representing business services mapped to underlying IT components. This results in improved quality, speed and manageability of information technology environments, enabling IT organizations to adapt to changing needs while supporting specific infrastructures. The product also adds automation capabilities to HP’s OpenView software portfolio for unified management of the enterprise IT environment.
HP OpenView Service Delivery Designer extends the functionality of the HP OpenView Service Delivery Controller (formerly branded as Consera’s AgileOne product). Service Delivery Designer delivers a graphical user environment to develop new workflows or customize existing workflows. The software’s interface reduces the time and cost of development, testing and deployment, while increasing efficiency and accuracy by offering administrative features managing deployment and update processes.
HP OpenView Service Delivery Designer incorporates the ability to drive new or modified workflows through the deployment cycle, from development to production. The product provides a complete environment for building logical workflows and building blocks, deploying them into test environments where logic can be assessed, then rolling them into a production domain while earlier versions are still resident. Multiple versions of workflows can be maintained on a single server, keeping a history of change and allowing users to rollback or verify operations.
HP offers solutions for the Adaptive Enterprise to create an infrastructure dynamically linked to business processes—a simplified, standardized, modular, integrated business and IT environment. The initiative is multi-tiered, involving servers, storage components, hardware support and interconnects, helping broaden customer choices in standards-based computing.
