TechCrunch has reported that Google has hired the services of a well known music attorney Elizabeth Moody to help them sign deals with all the major music labels.

Google is rumored to be working on their own digital media store which could arrive sometime later this year.

The company is betting on their Android platform for the success of this service. The idea is to have a paid streaming service that could be offered as a core feature in future Android releases.

Google Music could arrive in the market along with the next major release of Android slated for later this year.

This could be bad news for all the smaller companies that are offering similar services on the mobile platform.
