Google to offer secure searches on their search engine

Google has announced that they would allow their users to search security on their search engine soon.

Google would allow their users to run search queries through a secure edition of Google.com.

Instead of HTTP, the search would go through a HTTPS session which is generally used for online transactions.

Google has already implemented a similar mechanism on Gmail and they are now expanding it to Google.com.

This is a good news for people who are worried about governments recording their online searches.
