Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., one of the world’s leading suppliers of hard disk drives and computer peripherals, announced that it will showcase the latest Fujitsu 2.5″ enterprise and mobile hard disk drives at the Storage Networking World (SNW) Fall 2005 Conference on Oct. 24 – 27 in Orlando, FL.

At the event Fujitsu will demonstrate the capabilities of several enterprise storage systems utilizing its most advanced 2.5″ Serial ATA (SATA) and small form factor (SFF) Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) hard disk drives. The first demo will highlight the interoperability of Fujitsu SATA and SAS hard disk drives operating alongside various enclosures.

Fujitsu will also showcase a mobile-rack containing sixteen SAS hard disk drives that achieves 1.7GB/s throughput, as well as a tower operating with SATA drives that boasts nearly five terabytes of storage capacity. These storage solutions enable improved performance due to increased input-output per second, and at the same time maintain a minimal footprint.

SNW, endorsed by the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA), is the only conference where IT managers and professionals get a hands-on view of the world’s only SNIA-sanctioned Interoperability and Solutions Demo, and access to legions of peers, experts and solutions.
