Bing released its annual Canadian search trends, revealing that 2015 was a year shaped by impactful moments that moved us. From inspiration and hope, to moments of shared tragedy and pain and people who captured our hearts, to those who challenged us to rethink our views of the world, 2015 can be characterized as the year that was filled with both local and international news, ranging from discussions around the Canadian dollar to horrific news of the earthquake in Nepal. Billions of searches conducted on Bing this year reveal powerful moments and people that stood out above the rest to make 2015 memorable.

Moments that Moved Us
In addition to our traditiona Top Searched lists, this year, Bing also shines a light on the moments that moved us and the stories behind them. From the Canadian federal election to the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto and the tragedy that rallied the world in support of Paris, there were sentinel moments in 2015 that sparked conversation, and drove the world to search on Bing to understand, connect and take action. We #CameTogether for Baseball
On the 2015 Most Searched Athletes list, the Toronto Blue Jays dominated with David Price and Josh Donaldson making the top 10 – a stark comparison to last year when the team was noticeably absent from the list. Sidney Crosby or "Sid the Kid" was the top-ranking Canadian athlete, taking the fourth spot on the list.

A "Selfish" Rise to the Top
As in past years, Bing also released the Top Searched Person of 2015 and added two new lists:  Top Celebrity Moments and Celebrities on The Rise. With baby rumors swirling for months and the release of her book "Selfish," Kim Kardashian rose to the top of this year's Top Searched Person list. Even Taylor Swift, who broke sales records in 2015, conducted a public feud with Apple and became the youngest woman ever on Forbes' "100 Most Powerful Women" list, couldn't top The Keeping Up With the Kardashian star and her baby bump. Thanks to a year full of headline-worthy antics, Justin Bieber rounded out the top three most searched people in 2015.

Following are a few of our Top Searched lists for 2015. View the complete lists and the powerful stories behind this year's moments that moved us at Bing.com/Trends/2015.
