TechCrunch has reported that Disney is very close to signing up an acquisition deal with Playdom.
Disney incidentally is already an indirect investor in this social gaming company.
This acquisition deal would be great for the company as it would boost their presence in the ever growing social gaming scene.
They have access to tons of popular cartoon characters which can result in some amazing social games that could challenge the might of the segment leader Zynga.
