Destiny Media Technologies is pleased to announce a new music blog marketing service that allows independent record labels to reach over 2,600 of the most influential global music blogs with approximately 4,000 unique recipients.
The new service will offer labels the ability to accurately target music blog writers in fourteen separate music genres and deliver to recipients music in a broadcast quality digital format while allowing them to fully access and download the music. The service also allows for full integration into third part reporting, scheduling and fingerprinting systems such as Shazam. Introductory pricing starts at $250 for customers sending just to the blog network and $125 to add to an existing single track release already going to radio.
"We're excited about this offering and how it works into our new marketing strategy for the Play MPE® side of the business," said Dale Borland, Chief Operating Officer of Destiny Media. "We believe that the compelling price point, access to and accuracy of the data combined with the delivery of broadcast quality music, will appeal to independent and upcoming labels where coverage by trusted reviewers who love new music can create instant awareness for songs that are not widely known."
According to Nielson SoundScan, independent labels represent 9% of physical albums, 15% of digital albums and 16% of digital tracks released in America. Data from Music and Copyright's annual survey shows that globally, independents are responsible for 35% of recorded music and according to Statistica Inc. approximately $360 million of sales in the U.S. during 2014.
