Price-sensitive customers in need of a notebook computer that delivers mobility can now choose the Dell Latitude™ D505 notebook, starting at $1,049(a), with Intel’s new Celeron M processor and Wi-Fi® capability.
This thin and light notebook, with a starting weight of just over five pounds(b), is equipped to power mobile users through daily essential productivity tasks like e-mail, word processing and Internet surfing.
The Latitude D505 shares the same intuitive design and innovative D/Port docking solution and D/View notebook stand as other products in the Latitude D-Family portfolio. Designed for budget-conscious education customers and small and medium businesses with a networked environment, it provides true mobility without sacrificing reliability, flexibility or performance.
Dell education and business customers were consulted in the development of the D-Family notebooks and provided feedback regarding their notebooks’ usability, features and form factors. Dell relied on this feedback in developing the Latitude D505 as well as the other D-family notebooks. This continued focus on meeting customer needs contributes to Dell’s No. 1 ranking in Technology Business Research’s quarterly IT Buying and Customer Satisfaction Study for notebook PCs, where it has maintained its leadership position for more than five years.(c)
The Latitude D505 can be configured with an Intel Celeron M processor or a Pentium M processor, choice of 14.1-inch or 15-inch XGA displays and Intel’s PRO Wireless 2100 wireless miniPCI card (802.11b). Customers can also choose Dell’s TrueMobile™ 1300 (802.11b/g) or TrueMobile 1400 (802.11a/b/g) wireless solutions.
Dell offers a single point of accountability for deployment services to support its latest portfolio of Latitude products, which can help save time and effort and allow customers to focus IT resources on more strategic projects.
