Datto, the leading global vendor of hybrid cloud-based backup, disaster recovery (BDR) and intelligent business continuity (IBC) solutions, is proud to be named the Fastest Growing Technology Company in the State of Connecticut. With a staggering 1,436% growth over a four-year period, Datto claimed the top honor for the second straight year, as well as the IT Services win for the third year in a row.
Announced by Marcum LLP and The Connecticut Technology Council last night at the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford, CT, the Marcum Tech Top 40 finalists represent the best of Connecticut’s technology community and were selected based on revenue growth over the last four-year period in six industry categories.
“It’s remarkable and humbling to achieve such an honor as the leading technology company in Connecticut,” said Datto Founder and CEO, and Connecticut native, Austin McChord. “Our success is due to the steadfast support of our Partners. Their loyalty stems from the dedicated and passionate workforce at Datto. Our goal has always been to deliver the most innovative backup and business continuity solutions for our Partners and their customers around the globe, and that’s what drives us each day.”
Companies considered for the Marcum Tech Top 40 are both privately and publically owned, and have a minimum $50,000 in revenue in the first year and $3 million in year four. While Datto was the overall winner, the 2014 category winners include:

- IT Services: Datto (Norwalk)
- New Media/Internet/Telecom: iSend (Middlebury)

Last month, Datto earned a spot on the prestigious Inc. 500 list for the third consecutive year ranking as the No. 1 fastest-growing Connecticut company, No. 5 in security and No. 314 overall.
With more than 300 global employees, Datto boasts 89% of its workforce in the Norwalk headquarters and Monroe build facility with additional offices in Rochester (NY), Toronto, London and Sydney.
