CourtSide EDX ("CourtSide"), a leader in the exchange, verification, and management of court documents, unveiled the first electronic document exchange solution designed specifically to comply with Ontario's new law regarding the service of court documents. The adoption of the law was the result of an original proposal submitted by CourtSide EDX founders and Ontario lawyers, Michael Tweyman and Arin Klug.
Court documents in Ontario are currently served through paper-based methods such as mail, fax and courier. The new law permits lawyers and self-represented litigants to serve court documents through an electronic document exchange, a web-based software as a service (SaaS) platform. With the release of CourtSide EDX, service of court documents will become instantaneous, secure, and reliable.

CourtSide's electronic document exchange will virtually eliminate unnecessary disputes related to the service of court documents. The record of service, a requirement under Ontario's new law, is automatically generated by CourtSide EDX and provides independent verification of the delivery and content of the documents that were served.
