Corus Entertainment becomes first Canadian broadcaster to offer iTunes integration on radio station websites

In a Canadian first, Corus Entertainment is proud
to offer direct iTunes accessibility on 11 of its Corus Radio station
websites. The integration of the iTunes Store will reflect the programming of
each radio station, allowing listeners to shop from playlists featured on the
stations as well as top picks from on-air talent and celebrity guests.

“iTunes has revolutionized the way people buy music and we’re pleased to
be able to offer our listeners a customized experience on our websites
tailored to the music that is most relevant to them,” said David Huszar, Vice
President and General Manager of Corus Radio’s interactive division. “Although
many websites are currently linked to iTunes, our partnership uniquely enables
us to integrate the entire iTunes catalogue into our sites for the convenience
    of our listeners.”

Here are the Corus Radio stations and websites that have customized
    iTunes Store access:

    – VANCOUVER – 99.3 The FOX (cfox.com) and Classic Rock 101 (rock101.com)

    – CALGARY – Country 105 (country105.com) and Q107 (q107fm.ca)

    – EDMONTON – 92.5 JOE FM (joefm.ca) and CISN COUNTRY 103.9 (cisnfm.com)

    – WINNIPEG – Power 97 (power97.com)

    – HAMILTON – Y108 (y108.ca) and The New Country 95.3 (country953.com)

    – TORONTO – 102.1 the Edge (edge.ca) and Q107 (q107.com)

At each radio station website, listeners can also get on-air personality
playlists, sign up for station podcasts and browse through their station’s
favourite artists, albums and songs. Listeners can also access iTunes by
clicking on the iTunes button accompanying each song on the station’s website
playlist in the “now playing” widget on screen. This feature is also available
on Corus Radio’s ExploreMusic.com through the daily “5 Songs You Gotta Hear
    Today” list.

The integration of the iTunes Store on Corus Radio station websites was
made possible through Corus’ exclusive partnership with Emmis Communications
    and the iTunes Affiliate program.
